How did you get into the job you have now?
My interest in space started when I was young, completely mesmerized by the stars in the sky on a clear evening. This drove me into engineering, Aerospace specifically. After spending 8 years as a developer delivering space systems for a variety of Customers, I wanted to understand how our Customers selected space architectures and executed those acquisitions. I made a career change to directly support our Customer and have enjoyed every minute of it!
Favorite planet?
Pluto, because My Very Eagar Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas. IYKYK.
Hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy physical activities that place me outdoors, especially running and mountaineering. My wife and I also enjoy international travel, seeking new destinations for unique food and wine experiences.
Why did you choose SSI?
I wanted to work for a company that was known for solving problems on timelines relevant to our Customer’s needs. SSI prides themselves on honesty, integrity, and family, all values that are important to me. While a developer, I had also worked alongside several SSI employees who were all excellent engineers.
Bio:
After growing up in northern California, I left the sunny west coast for snowy Michigan and met my wife while in college. Moving to Virginia after school, I completed my Masters degree while working full-time. My wife and I welcomed our daughter in 2022 and I love being a dad, watching her learn and grow everyday.
