Space Systems Integration was founded in 2005 with a vision of providing strategic system engineering services to the intelligence and defense communities.
Since then, SSI has grown through the addition of highly qualified and respected individuals with strong technical backgrounds. SSI employees average over 20 years of experience in their technical fields, and ninety percent of the technical staff have advanced degrees in engineering.

Employee Spotlight
Nick’s Naval career took a pretty unique path (like Pluto’s orbit!) and he wound up serving 19.5 years in the Navy before completing an active-duty inter-service transfer to the Space Force in 2022. Nick completed one tour in the Space Force and decided it was time to retire in 2024. His recent significant tours include 5.5 years in the Pentagon at OPNAV N9SP / DoN SAPCO and then 2.5 years in the Space Force as the deputy of the Space Security and Defense Program Multi-domain Effects Division. Upon Nick’s retirement, he moved out of Northern VA back to his wife’s native Seattle.
