I’ve been fascinated with everything out in space since a science unit of Astronomy in 3rd grade.

Favorite planet? Jupiter

Hobbies outside of work? Attending kids’ activities, visiting new wineries, and making pottery

Why did you choose SSI?  I chose SSI for its culture of providing excellent technical support to its customers and for its small size of quality, friendly employees.

Bio:
I grew up in Casper, Wyoming and knew that I wanted to do something in Astronomy from an early age. While I was at the University of Wyoming, I had my first experience at an observatory, and while the process of collecting the observations and calibration data was very interesting to me, I soon realized I am not great at staying up all night, especially waiting for clouds to disperse! At New Mexico State, I studied quasar absorption lines via spectroscopy and started my interest in the testing of instrumentation used for collecting data, especially on satellites. I’ve been lucky to continue that testing work throughout my career for various customers for the last 18 years.
